"If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.  Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."

Matthew 5:41-42

The road into Garde Saline is very poor, and when it rains, getting in and out of the village is almost impossible.  Even traveling by foot, horseback, or by donkey - which most villagers do - is difficult.  Given the heavy rains during and after Hurricane Matthew in fall 2016, it was almost impossible to travel into and out of the village.  In January 2017, The Faith Project provided funding to have the road graded with rock.

In June 2011, The Faith Project donated funds for the first motorized vehicle owned by residents of Garde Saline — a motorcycle.  As the Leadership Council implements its sustainable community development plan, and the economic base of the community improves, more families will be able to purchase vehicles.
